Instructions for Creating Large
Highway Signs in Large Numbers
Use Your First amendment rights TO expose THE corruption AND
kidnapping for profit OF our family courts
The site
www.freewayblogger.com has lots of useful information. We
started with this process but wanted to produce 1,000 signs. Therefore
we developed more of a mass production process, versus their "One off"
process. Go watch that video first. If you want to work alone in your
basement theirs is a better process for you. If you want to reach
everyone and create real change with hundreds of signs you will do
better with our methods.
There
is lots of excitement around the
www.Freewayblogger.com
idea being done in Massachusetts now. We will put up 1,000 signs with an
advertising value of well over $3,000,000 to draw attention to this
problem and pressure the powers that be.
Most
everything you need is available at Home Depot or Lowes but get a hand
grommet machine online as the tools you bang with a hammer against the
pavement will wear out your knees.
The
cost of these signs, after the initial material is less than $5 each and
can be seen by 100,000 people on a morning commute. They can last from
one to 30 days and have an advertising value of thousands of dollars!
Each
item in the list below is a separate short video clip and step in the production process. This process is
designed to produce 30 to 40 signs that are 4 foot by 8 foot. With
a small team of 4 to 8 people this is fun and efficient. We are currently making 30 signs with all steps in about 4 hours but getting faster
each time we do it. We are still learning and optimizing the
process. We expect to produce at least 50 signs per party but will also
be seeking an offshore manufacturer to produce these by the hundreds and
support other states.
These video clips are not well
compressed. You will need broadband to download them.
Be patient.

The result of our Halloween Sign Painting
Party
Now, with a little practice and
refinement we can produce twice this number in the same time with 5 to 6
people.

Sign
over the Prudential Tunnel going into Boston
Over 250,000 people saw this each day it was up. Maybe it still is.
If not another will appear very soon. :)
The value of a single sign (on average) in advertising
impressions is many thousands of dollars because on the average
highway over 100,000 people will drive by each day.
If you make 1,000 signs for a
campaign over time (as we are in Mass.) and they are up for
ONLY ONE DAY each the equivalent advertising impressions
would be worth about $2,500,000! We are averaging over 10 days
life per sign.
i.e. 1 sign X 100,000 people
per day X 10 days X $20 per thousand impressions = $20,000
ADVERTISING VALUE per sign!
Or 1,000 signs over time =
$20,000,000 in advertising!!!!

We have had some signs up for 3+
weeks now in some locations! Everyone in Massachusetts will read
many of these and begin to understand the corruption of our family
courts soon. We will average placement of 100 signs per month over the
campaign.
Text description of this process (see video links
above):
-
Buy a roll of
Tyvek house wrap at Home Depot or any building supply store. One
$150 (retail not wholesale) 9 foot by 150 foot roll can make 37 4
foot by 8 foot signs and another 18 1 foot banners. So material cost
is a few bucks per sign. We have also used industrial wallpaper
(vinyl) and plenty of other materials can work. The material must
not rip in the wind. You can use cardboard and paint it white
(this is how we started) but this is more work and not worth it
really. Many other materials will work fine.
-
Use a LCD projector and PowerPoint
software to outline a stencil on Luan board (or other material).
Just trace the letter with a pencil. We use “Arial Black” font
because it is thick and visible from a long distance. Limit message
to 7 words max. 5 or less preferred plus a contact web site or phone
number that is easy to remember (people are driving). The first
messages MUST have "divorce" of Family Court" in them. Forget what
YOU know and remember the public knows little. As you change
messages you can get more specific and not have these messages.
3) Carve
out the lettering with a jig saw (you need one handy person for this
part). This can take several hours but is worth it. Your template
can now make 1,000+ signs. We have made many templates so far and
will change the message as we go to get more direct at the problem.
Essentially they will get nastier over time to expose the corruption
AFTER people understand WHERE (family court) and WHO (judges,
lawyers and their cronies) the issue is about.
4)
Buy a compressor and paint spray gun
($200) or get spray cans at Walmart for $0.97. A can will make a
sign or two. One advantage of cans is 2-4 people can paint at the
same time from different signs. This makes for fast work.
5)
Use latex paint for easy clean up. Get
the cheapest paint available – it only needs to last one month or
so. We use a DARK purple for lettering and mix in some red to
enhance certain words.
6) Cut
20-50 pieces of tyvek to size and spray paint lettering in dark
purple on white background. You can cut the entire tyvek roll with a
hacksaw from 9 foot into 4 foot rolls.
7)
Fold over 2 inches on each edge and
staple every 2 inches, then install 3 to 4 grommets on the top and
bottom (can be done before or after painting)
8) Hand
up on two line inside a garage to dry or put out in sun
9)
Use those plastic pull ties to hang
them on the INSIDE of chain link fences. ($6 for 600 at Home Depot).
We put 2 9 inch one per grommet. Pull them tight so they don’t flap
in the wind and cut a few little “X” slices in the center to
depressurize them so they do not act like a sail and flap a lot -
this can shred them quickly.
10)
Have fun finding places to put them
with LOTS of traffic. Put on highway overpasses not at the exits so
it is more difficult for DPU people to remove them. Put them on the
opposite side of the highway for the same reason because when they
are on that side they will not see them.
Take a break
somewhere and have a meal together. Build camaraderie. Collect a few
bucks from people and/or collect from people NOT helping out to fund
material.
After you get the process down you can make about 30+ signs in 3-4
hours with 5-7 people and have fun doing it. Get people to put them
up and they will get excited and want to come to a sign painting
party.
